So much on my mind.

on my heart.

Trapped in this corporeal glop of disarray.

How can the truth be bound in such a temporal being? So much confusion and superfluousness.

Sadly, I do not enjoy the constant trivial ponderings of this world. It’s inhabitants. Scuttling back and forth each day filled with self importance, self motivation.

What of the greater good? When will they realize that there is no THEM without US. No one, no thing can exist in-of itself. Not alone or of its own.

The environment is a being that holds and sustains us. It is contained itself within a space. And that space within yet another. There is no true solitude. There is not aloneness. We are a unit. Working either for or against the whole.

Who are you? Who do you wish to be?

Without selfishness or ego.

Without crudeness or contempt.

With

Laughter and daydreams.

Candy and perfume.

Kisses and whispers.

Beauty expressed by God.

Sustained through Jesus Christ.

Guided by the Holy Spirit.

Vocabulary – A Writing Journey – The Beginning

The What: I have decided to start a new series as sort of a self-assignment. I will be pulling a word from each letter and writing at least a paragraph about that word. So the series will be at least 26 entries long (well, 27 when you count this one).

The Why: Well, I have three children and I tell them the best way to learn new words and concepts is to read and then incorporate those words into your everyday vocabulary. When you combine this, finding my book and the fact that I have been trying to find topics to write about – I decided that this would be fun to do.

The How: The definitions will be pulled from various sources that I will note as we go. And if I find something really interesting in relation to the topic I will let you know. (Go! Research!)

The When: My goal is to go at least one entry per week.

The Where: I found a book (I have more books than I know what to do with) and thought it would be great to polish up on my working vocabulary. The book, Basic Vocabulary Builder by Eugene Ehrlich and Daniel Murphy, was printed back in 1975

My Declaration

This book is my own.
In here there is no write/right or wrong.
My soul and my pen intrinsically connected.

Words spilling, emotions fleeing. Without judgment or condemnation.
The only consideration is truth. My feelings, my dreams and my beliefs.
Those are my truths.

Reality does not dictate my truth. Reality does not shape my truth. I see that which does not exist and yearn for it. I see that which does and often wonder “Why?” My ideals bind me not the hypocritical and contradictory terms of our existence.

Yes, they are captured for immortality. But they mean no harm. Their existence alone does not constitute an attack nor a grudge. They are merely words yet so much more. Unlike my spoken words which must be weighed oh so carefully; these are my own. I speak my truths on this paper, this computer. I say what I feel and see and hear and live. On this paper, I do not talk funny. My poetic ramblings, over-versed speak and descriptive rants make sense. My words become alive and sentient. Not judged by who I am, but for what they mean.

These words, these pages belong to me. But are so much more. Because of this, I allow you to glimpse into me. Because it is right. I do not invite argument or debate. I do not mean to alarm or offend. If you are hurt by the content, the question I ask is “What touched you so?” Discover yourself. Create your own words. Your own world.

If this is beyond your willingness to yield; I extend many well wishes and pray you one day believe beyond yourself.

If you accept these terms, I invite you in.

Thank you for helping me through today. It has been and stayed rough.
Relentless torment.

These demons seen and unseen torture and distract me.
Make me forget my purpose.
Even worse they cause me to willingly desert my post. AWOL.
Oh, the wickedness of the evil one.

But your friendship strengthens me. You remind me of my nobility.
You bring warmth to the dampness. You shine light in the darkness.

When my legs fail me, you help me up and carry me.
When my mind despairs and wants to quit, you remind me of the race and run with me.
When my soul loses its strength, you pray with and for me.

My intercessor. My friend.
I take you for granted.
I do not appreciate that which I have been blessed with.

I cherish you. I care for you. I thank you. I love you.

In the beginning...

This is the first of hopefully many entries. I have not decided how to format this site or blog therefore I anticipate a lot of changes. I ask for your patience and support.

I am been gathering these works and assorted things for at least 2 decades and will need some time and prayer to get everything all sorted out. Entries will be added and then increased upon. This is my scrapbook not a finished product. All work unless otherwise attributed is mine.
